In the Parts Department I was an inventory coordinator, and we were having efficiency issues with our parts drivers and body shops around the state. Our clients, the body shops, would often complain that the auto parts in transit were arriving late. I recommended drivers use and operate electronic tablets that would allow the body shops to track their purchase(s) continual status while en route. The tablets simultaneously enhanced communication between our department and clients, and fixed the late arriving parts issue. The Parts Department continues to use the tablets with transit deliveries.
